Woohoo!!! I am now a certified Art Clay Silver Level 2 instructor!

I just got word, I passed the judging!

Technically, I am now certified to teach Certification courses, not just the basics!
There are only two of us in the Philippines who are Level 2 certified!

But I doubt I'll be teaching anytime soon.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, read here and here.

I'm so happy!

We do not have resellers

Hello everyone!

This is just to inform you that we do not have resellers.  Angeli's Art Beads items are exclusively available at The Beadlady Craft Cafe.

When our friends have bazaars, we do have a few items with them, but we will announce the bazaars here beforehand.

I appeal to your kind hearts to let us know if you find our work misrepresented or sold outside our store.

Thank you!

Question: Is it crazy to go to Divisoria after lunch on a Sunday?

Hehe.

We ran out of paperbags.  I need to buy from Tabora St.

I'm already imagining the chaos.  Has anyone tried going to Divi on a Sunday, during the Christmas rush?

We didn't have time to go earlier. :(  Super busy.

We are super thankful

The past few weeks have had their ups and downs, but I am counting my blessings.

This week, I haven't had a good night's sleep. But this only means we have been busy busy busy.

Today we were featured on GMA7's Unang Hirit!

Super big thank you Ate Sandy of The Reading Room for the opportunity. :)

I wasn't able to watch though coz I fell asleep before the segment aired(because I did another all-nighter, trying to make stuff for a mag photoshoot).

What a crazy, super hectic week!

We also did a big photoshoot today, but we can't gush about it yet. Crossing my fingers everything turns out well.

Plus we got invited to join a bazaar tomorrow, for free! I hope I wake up super early. I am really tired and I want to rest already, but I can't sleep.

Thank you Lord for the blessings you are showering us!

French-inspired clay jewelry

If the Moroccan-inspired jewelry were simple clay medallions set on brass filigree, these new French-inspired pieces feature photo-transfer polymer clay tiles wrapped with filigree.

At first, I came up with simple photo-transfer tiles, like the ones I used to make when I was starting out. But I found them boring, and I wanted something new this time.

I decided I wanted them to look like delicate vintage cabs and cameos. The challenge was to make the tiles look luxurious, and it's hard to do that with polymer clay.

I set them on brass filigree, like what I did in the Moroccan collection, but the tiles looked out of place. So I tried something different - wrapping them in filigree instead of simply setting them on top of it. I think I finally got the look I was going for.

I became a mom

Here's another reason why I went MIA: Izzy.

No, I didn't get preggers. lol. I bought the cutest little Maltese puppy. A gift from Marco for my 24th birthday. :)

I got her when she was 3 months old. She was super skinny and was really smelly when I got her. Kawawa! The old owners didn't give her regular baths, boo!

I named her Izzy, no - not after the Grey's Anatomy character, but because of her frizzy fur, especially around her neck.

I try hard to keep her frizz-free. hehe.

She's turning one year old on December 5.

Izzy is super active. She likes to wrestle. The only time she's not hyper is when she's asleep. Lol. But when she's sleepy, she mellows down and wants to cuddle.

Sometimes I think she doesn't know she's a dog. She stands everytime she wants something (like her toys on the table, or when she wants to be carried, or when she wants to be let out of the room). She asks for her bag when she sees I'm getting dressed - stands and tries to drag the bag out from wherever it's hidden.

She's super funny too. She likes to sleep in the weirdest position: on her back with her head bent towards her tummy. I should probably take a photo next time.

She goes crazy when she sees me preparing my blanket before I go to sleep - she'd run under it and just stay there until it covers her. She then playfully bites me from under the covers.

Crazy pup.

I'm sick. :( I won't be in the shop today, but my staff will be there to assist you.

Yuletide Souk at the Rockwell Tent today til tomorrow

Sorry for the short notice: We have a few pieces on display in Sculpeyman's booth at the bazaar in Rockwell tent.

Check out our one of a kind, french-inspired necklaces featuring nostalgic photo-transfer polymer clay tiles wrapped with brass filigree.

Plus you HAVE TO go check out bijouxdelou.multiply.com's booth, OMG! My heart stopped when I saw all the lovely jewelry. I tell you, it's going to be worth the trip just to see the items she has on display.

(And because the stuff was so entrancing, it was the only booth I got to visit today. I was rushing to go back to my shop, sorry multiply friends, will try to visit you guys tomorrow)

Will try to post pics of my new stuff, i'll see if i can post from my phone.

Total Girl Nov 09 feature

A couple of months ago, I was excited to receive an email from Total Girl magazine saying they read the Our Awesome Planet feature, and they'd like to feature the new cafe for their "So Hot Right Now" section. They were going to bring a young TG reader to the shop to do a review on our shop offerings and services.

I was super excited, but scared too, because of the review!

So I was very happy when I saw page 8 of this month's TG issue!

Here's an excerpt from the review:

"Famous for their pendants and charms that look exactly like cute cupcakes and other sweet treats... it's the sweetest accessory shop in the Metro!" - Maita de Jesus, Total Girl Magazine Editorial Assistant and Disney's Princess Magazine Editor in Chief

"[This cafe] is so cool because you can be creative in making and decorating your own accessories..." - Nina Isabel, 11 years old, TG reader

Grab a copy of Total Girl November 09 ish to read the entire feature.

Special thanks to the writer, Ms. Maita de Jesus and the photographer, Dakila Angeles.

Which wireless broadband network do you use?

Hello friends!

Please help.  I'm trying to get wireless broadband for the shop (because DSL for business establishments is too expensive).

Which network is the best considering signal (in Cubao), customer service support, and reliability?

I've been hearing the globe network (globe tattoo) isn't too reliable raw. How true?

Sun broadband wireless naman looks promising, but I've been reading bad stuff about it rin.

I hope someone can share their opinion.

Thanks!
