Super thanks Ms B for hosting the trunkshow!

Probably one of the hardest projects i've undertaken: a five-piece charm bracelet with realistic mini cakes. Duling na ata ako permanently.

Sorry, i no longer accept custom cake orders for the year. :) di na kaya ng powers ko, next year nalang po ulet.

*to everyone who sent me a pm, sorry this isn't available for sale. (I tried to reply to everyone, but I can't seem to finish sending all the pms, so i'm updating here nalang, hope you understand).

this is a custom order of Ms. B, posted for your reference. For custom orders, please refer to The Cupcakery:

Rockwell Urban Christmas Bazaar Nov. 16-18

Rockwell's Christmas edition of the Urban Bazaar was super worth it. Lahat ng puyat at pagod ay nabawi, thank you Lord!

Day 1: Marco and I started setting up at 7:00 am. We were among the first ones at the tent. Buti nalang we went early, kasi we had super bulky boxes of mannequins, so we borrowed the adjacent booths muna and placed the boxes there while we setup the cabinet. Then I went home to bake more earrings, met up with my cousin Xtine who offered to help me man the booth, then went back to finish displaying my stuff a few minutes before the bazaar opened at 12noon.

Though it was a Friday (a workday), we were surprised at the volume of people that visited the bazaar! Naloka ako sa dami ng tao. Kristine had to go home at 3pm, so i had no one to help me. Buti nalang ang mga achie ay very helpful. whew. By closing time, nanginginig na ko sa pagod (bigat ng boxes ng mannequins no!)

Day 2: Woke up late dahil sa sobrang pagod. Arrived at Rockwell in the nick of time. The cupcakes and studs got sold out na, so had to text those who were planning to come na baka wala na silang maabutan.

Day 3: Had to bake more cupcakes before coming to the bazaar. Good thing Marco was there to man the booth in the morning. By late afternoon, I had no more mannequins and cupcakes left.

Thanks for everyone who came! The best part was seeing all the kids' (and kids-at-heart's) faces light up when they saw the cupcakes and cakes. Super cutie kids, awwwww. I had a few people ask me if they were real, hihi.

And it was such an honor to finally meet Happy David! Thank you po for the kind words about my clay stuff, I am a huge fan of your work! Nastarstruck ako, teehee.

All about florals CLOSED

Intricate pendant hangs from a gold plated chain and embellished with a filigree disc and pearl.

RESERVED for ms jaclyn

And you thought florals meant pastels. This collection is all about drama - a rich gold punctuated with silver, or a gorgeous black with intricate gold imprints.

Perfect for dressing up a simple outfit, and pretty enough for semi-formals.

I haven't had the time to name them yet, temporary nicknames muna.

Prices already indicated in the captions.

Candy Fair 2007

I have never felt as old and out of touch with the "young ones" as I did last Saturday. Hell, I'm only 22!

But with pretty high-school-aged girls screaming their hearts out at bands I barely knew, it wasn't hard to feel ancient. I guess what the Cosmo Bachelor Bash was to me last year (didn't go this year), Candy Fair was to them.

The kids mobbed around Sam as he signed autographs, and swooned as he sang onstage. I didn't understand what all the fuss was about, as I couldn't remember being super kilig when I was at that age.

So I asked my cousin Kristine, who was also as old-ish as I was, "Nung time natin, who made us kilig?" "Patrick Garcia," she answered. And then I understood. I remembered how it was being thirteen and giggly and gaga over cute celebs. PG was my ultimate crush back then, up until I was college age. haha.

The event was a new experience for me, as most of the bazaars I joined were usually purely shopping events. I was ngarag as usual - didn't sleep a wink the night before as I was beading like crazy. My display cabinet was too bulky for the space provided, so I had to use tables instead. So my display sorta looked jumbled and unattractive, but it didn't matter in the end because the Candy girls were trooping to my space nonetheless. It was fun watching them ooh and ahh over the cupcakes, cakes, and frappes.

But I lost a cupcake. :( We don't know if it was stolen, or if the person just didn't realize na hindi pa pala bayad. :( Grabe kasi ang excitement nung mga kids.

And oh, I met Chynna for the first time! She was so sweet. :) She bought a cupcake and cake necklace from me. Her Stellar booth never ran out of customers!

Here are some nakaw pics, taken from Abby and Mai, and Ms Denz of Heartspeak (http://heartspeak.multiply.com). Super salamat po sa pics! Wasn't able to get pics from my cam because I forgot to unload the card. argh. Sayang. Wala tuloy kaming pic nila Silly Me, Ichigo and BBB.

Thanks to Brenda, Abby, and Mai who boxed out all the others and hoarded my goodies. They were there pretty early! Kung wala kayong naabutan na cupcakes, cakes, and frappes, sila ang may kasalanan! lol.

Thanks also to all the Candy girls who I met, and to multiply contacts who bought and to everyone who approached me to introduce themselves.

Cheers to Candy Mag and Mirelle! :)

Early entrepreneurship

All entrepreneurs had to start from somewhere. Before the big players became big, before the tycoons had their empires, before the malls became chains, they had to start from scratch. For National Bookstore, it was Nanay Coring’s small home-based sari-sari store. For Bench, it was Ben Chan’s tiny rack inside SM Department Store. For SM, it was a small shoe store in Cubao.

For me, everyting started in school.

I made my first 25 centavos when I was in elementary. Stationery were all the rage when I was young, so mini me thought it would be a good idea to sell some to a classmate when I was in grade one or two. But it wasn’t your ordinary sheet of “statio”, as we called it. It was merely a photocopy of one of my favorite sheets. Funny, because the copy was of course a black and white version of the original, but I managed to sell it to a classmate! Even funnier, because the cost of having the piece of statio copied was exactly 25 cents, so I never made any profit.

Oh yes, stationery was the “in” thing when I was in grade school. There was something about those sheets of colorful, scented paper that made little girls hoard like crazy. I remember having a drawer-full of statio in every shape and color, and I treasured them like they were endangered species. The way I was saving each piece, DENR would have been proud. I never used them to write letters (except maybe for the very special occasions, such as thanking a tita for a new set of stationery). Heck, I even considered doctor’s prescription pads as precious!

I wasn’t the only one crazy over those cute little pieces of paper, my cousins were too. During the summer when school was over, we’d usually while away the hours in the family compound in Pasig. And what else would keep little girls busy but play tinde-tindera?

We’d “display” our stash of stationery in my cousins’ second-floor living room where we had our own little patches of real estate. We’d sit cross-legged on the floor, with our “stocks” spread out in front of us. Little pieces of folded paper which looked like little rooftops proudly announced “5c each”. There were only three of us girl cousins that time and everyone wanted to be tindera. So that inconveniently left us with no customers, except for my poor little brother, who had to be bullied to join us.

Twelve years later, I am still playing tinde-tindera. I still sit cross legged on the floor in front of my stocks, to secure them inside tiny Ziploc bags before a bazaar. I still write the prices on little pieces of paper, but now stylish enough for posh boutiques. I still display my stocks in little patches of real estate, but they are now called booths, and they cost a hell lot of money. My cousins still become tindera at some of my bazaars, but most of the time they are now my customers.

A few days ago, my cousin Kristine helped me man my booth during the Lifestyle Network Bazaar. Para lang tayong naglalaro no?,” she said. I had to laugh.

All buyers and sellers are expected to be responsible for their own actions. Always be alert when transacting. Beware of scammers or bogus buyers.

This forum still lacks a lot of categories and boards right now, and admin will work on it as we go along. Admin will also come up with rules to make online shopping here in the forum pleasant for both buyers and sellers.

Please don't forget to post a link in your websites. Our new home is here at http://onlineshopsph.proboards92.com

Artsy Fartsy

Hello! I'm Angeli, and I turned 22 last summer. I've been crafting since I was 0.

Crochet, cross stitch, paper mache, beading, sewing, embellishment. You name it, i've done it. It shouldn't be a surprise, since I come from a family who can make clever things with their hands.

My lolo, mom's dad, is a fine craftsman. He can whip up anything out of wood and metal! He has a knack for turning junk into treasure, refusing to throw out broken objects and ingeniously reconstructing them into something new.

My mom is an all-around crafter, and i guess it was her creativity that rubbed off on me. She taught me how to crochet, to do cross-stitch, to sew by hand, and even how to use our ancient sewing machine. I remember how I'd get in the way help out with her projects as a kid. We would buy ribbons and lace and fake little flowers from a ribbon place called Zuniga's, then embellish tiny little baskets and miniature fans made of bamboo(?). I was about six or seven years old that time, and it was pure crafting bliss. Until now some of those projects are displayed at my mom and dad's place.

My dad is also an artist. Not a lot of people know about that because he doesn't really use his artistic skills like my mom and I do. Dad's a talented painter and he's really good at drawing, but I haven't seen him pick up a brush or pencil in ages! When I was a kid, he bought me a pretty coloring book and a watercolor set. A few times he would paint on some of the pages, transforming the blank two dimensional pictures into works of art.

Ironically, it's my mom who paints now. She picked up the brush about a year ago and paints in her free time, which she doesn't have a lot of.

I, on the other hand, have all the free time in the world. I graduated from college a year ago, after taking up BS Development Communication and majoring in Journalism at UP Los Banos. I worked as editorial assistant for Real Living magazine for a year. But even if it was such a cool job - flexible time, no dress code, lots of freebies and travelling opportunities - I let it go to fulfill a dream. Stupid, you'd think. But it was the best decision I've ever made.

I quit my day job to become a full-time crafter.

And now I am living a dream.

Finally, here's my attempt to appease the male crowd. More designs coming in the following weeks. One of a kind. No repeats. You won't bump into someone wearing the same thing. Once sold, they're gone.

Now it's time for you girls to do something nice for your better halves (kayo naman gumastos! lol).

i've been trying to get to your emails and pm's, pero mag-isa lang po kasi ako, so mabagal. to those i haven't replied to yet, sorry.  and also, there's a reason why my cel number isn't posted here, i only transact thru email. i'm working on getting a business phone soon, until then, please email me nalang.

also, sa mga nagagalit na, please bear in mind that i get a lot of emails and pms, and i do try my best to answer, pero mag isa lang po talaga ako, so sorry kung mabagal.  sabi nga sa isang sign na nakita ko sa bank or wherever, "We are giving quality time to the customer before you, rest assured you'll receive the same.  Please wait patiently for your turn."

Hindi po ako nagsusuplada, just begging you to please wait patiently. Please? If you have no time to wait for me po, okay lang po, you can cancel naman. No hard feelings. Sorry po, wag sana magalit.

I'm closing my online shop temporarily this week, because of a family tragedy.  But I will continue working on the orders due to be sent out next week, so don't worry.  It will be hard but I'll try my best.

1.  My lola (dad's mom) is currently in the ICU, because of a kidney infection.  She's in a coma, and things aren't looking good.  They rushed her to the hospital just yesterday.  Please pray for her.  I might go home to visit, and I don't know when I'll be back.

2.  As if that's not enough, my tito (though not blood-related) died today.  Just found out this afternoon.  I'm really shocked. I just talked to him two weeks ago. I don't know the cause of death yet...

3.  And just last week, my lolo's sister (mom's side) died of cancer.  Another shocker, since they only found out she had the big c last month, or 2 months ago.

I have two funerals to attend this month.  Lord please make it just those two.

Rose's Growing Collection - Cupcake With NO Extra Calories

http://rose218.multiply.com/reviews/item/3
Rose is fond of my tiny cupcakes! I remember how she boxed out everyone else at the past trunkshow in GGS to get her choco frost. Then she absolutely wanted to have unique pieces, so she concocted her own flavors. So I created a yummy blueberry cupcake for her, with whipped cream and blueberry syrup. She also has a purple cupcake with cute pink crisscross drizzles. super cute!

At Home Ka Dito June 24 - Unedited and uncut version

This was taped last June 14 at Pacific Islander Bar in Tomas Morato.

Ngarag ako kasi i wasn't able to sleep the night before. I had to make pieces pa since i didn't have a lot of ready-made products to show. i didn't have time to make!

Buti nalang fafa Marco was there on the shoot to help me out, kasi i was in panic-mode again.

The first time i saw Charlene at the location, i just stared. I approached her, and just stared. lol! must have been hilarious! Siya pa ang naunang nag-hi!

Charlene: hi!
Me: (wide smile, walang imik)
Writer: This is Angeli, siya ang gagawa ng project natin today.
Charlene: Wow!
Me: (still walang imik)
Charlene: I love your necklace! Did you make that too?
Me: Yes.... (silence)
Charlene: Galing! I love it!

I'm sure i muttered "hi" in there somewhere. lol!

Notice my space-out moments. hehehe. there were 2 cameras, so i didn't know where to look. i simply stared at the table instead! hihihi.

After the shoot, Charlene said, "Alam mo type ko talaga yang necklace mo. Bagay pa sa suot ko." As much as i wanted to, I couldn't give it to her kasi it was just a prototype, hastily made the night before. I simply TIED together the chains, instead of attaching them properly with links, so i was afraid it could fall apart even before she could get it around her neck. So I said I'd customize for her nalang.

So I'm making a poetry necklace for her, and and Id necklace for Ms. Marjorie (she can't be seen in this clip, coz Marco had to stay in one corner and couldn't move around). Hopefully, it'll help spread the word about my jewelry. :)

Now accepting credit card payments through Xoom!

If you are an international buyer, or a local customer who wants to pay via credit card, you can now pay for your orders through credit card or Paypal powered by Xoom!

Same process for placing your orders:

1.  Send me complete list of orders.  Indicate that you're paying through Xoom.
2.  I'll confirm if your orders are available.
3.  I'll send you a secure link where you can process your payment through Xoom.
